The ISCA-SUSS Business Analytics Certification Programme features the flexibility for individuals to take up individual / selected courses, or certificates. Upon completion of the courses, individuals can achieve the following certificates:

• ISCA-SUSS Certificate in Business Analytics (3 courses)
• ISCA-SUSS Specialist Certificate in Business Analytics (7 or 8 courses)

• Practical Business Analytics Techniques
  

  Individuals will acquire practical skills that can be applied directly at work, in areas such as customer relationship management, estimation of demand, production and cost.

• Customised to Your Needs
  

  As professional accountants, the expanded competencies in the area of business analytics will supplement the core technical competencies of an accountant in financial and management reporting. Based on insights gained through data mining, predictive modelling and business forecasting, individuals can provide relevant information to facilitate data-driven decision-making analysis.

• Integration with Technology
  

  From day-to-day Excel to business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Sage, etc, application software is integrated into the courses. Individuals gain hands-on experience at performing business analytics using technology which has evolved to be very user-friendly.

Yes, there is SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) modular course fee subsidies. Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the subsidies:

• must be at least 18 years of age; and
• have not previously received a government subsidy for the same course; and
• must register the course on credit-bearing basis; and
• achieve at least 75% attendance and/or sit and pass any prescribed examinations/assessments or submit any course/project work (if any) under the course requirement; and
• complete all surveys and feedbacks related to the course.

Individuals can tap into their SkillsFuture Credit* for modular courses and it can be used on top of SSG Funding.

*Starting January 2016, all Singapore Citizens (SCs) aged 25 and above will receive an opening credit of S$500, which can be used to pay for out-of-pocket course fees for attending work-skills related courses. The credits can be used on top of existing course fee subsidies provided by the Government.

SkillsFuture Credit Top-Up:

A one-off SkillsFuture Credit top-up of $500 will be provided to every Singapore Citizen aged 25 years and above as at 31 December 2020. This additional $500 SkillsFuture Credit can be used from 1 April 2020.

A one-off SkillsFuture Credit of $500 will be provided to every Singapore Citizen (SC) aged 40 to 60 (inclusive) as at 31 December 2020 as mid-career support. This will be over and above the $500 SkillsFuture Credit top-up for SCs aged 25 and above as at 31 December 2020. Eligible individuals can start using the SkillsFuture Credit provided under this package from 1 October 2020.

All ISCA Associate and CA (Singapore) members are eligible for the certification programme.

Individuals will be eligible for the ISCA-SUSS Business Analytics Certification Programme as long as the following requirements are met:

• At least 18 years of age; and
• GCE 'A' level with two passes (prior to 2006); or two H2 passes (from 2006); or
• Local polytechnic diploma; or
• International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma; SAT1 score; or
• Obtain at least 5 GCE 'O' Levels and pass an interview conducted by SUSS.

Important:

Please note that BUS105 Statistics is a pre-requisite module for ANL321 Statistical Methods and ANL317 Business Forecasting. However, ISCA members are expected to have basic statistical knowledge hence they can be exempted from the requirement of fulfilling the pre-requisite BUS105.

Individuals will be eligible for the ISCA-SUSS Business Analytics Certification Programme as long as the following requirements are met:

SUSS emphasises independent self-study through flexible learning approach. This approach allows candidates to study anywhere, anytime, removing the barriers of time and place. As lectures/tutorials/seminars are organised to supplement study materials, they are not compulsory. However, some courses may have mandatory classes, e.g. laboratory sessions, practicum sessions, etc. Failure to attend such mandatory sessions may lead to a fail grade in the course.

It is important to note that any individual applying for the SSG Funding are required to achieve at least 75% attendance. As regular work or family commitments are not valid reasons to be absent from classes, it is the sole responsibility of the individual to ensure that he or she can fulfil this attendance requirement, before enrolling in a course.

To be eligible for the SSG funding, candidates must take and pass all prescribed assessments/examinations or submit any course/project work (if required) under the course requirements.

Classes will be held at SUSS. We have reviewed the operational considerations with SUSS and it is agreed that the SUSS campus is a more conducive environment for the face-to-face sessions / classes.

For the ISCA-SUSS Business Analytics Certification Programme, there are 2 available options:

-        Weekday Evening Class (7:00pm – 10:00pm)

-        Weekday 3-Day Course (8:30am – 5:30pm)

The class schedules for the next semester (July 2021) will be available in May 2021.

SUSS reserves all rights to the pedagogy and delivery format of the courses. No prior notice will be required. For example, if the COVID-19 situation is not contained by January 2021, face-to-face sessions may be replaced by online sessions.

The total marks for each course comprises 50% of the Overall Continuous Assessment Score (OCAS) and 50% of the Overall Examinable Score (OES). To pass, one must achieve at least a total of 40% for the OCAS and the OES. The typical components of the OCAS will be a combination of quizzes, Group-Based Assignment (GBA), Tutor-Marked Assignment (TMA), Participation and Class Test. For OES, it will either be an examination or an End-Of-Course Assignment (ECA).

Candidates can take up to 20CU (credit unit) per semester. Please refer to below table for the CU of each course.

Upon completion of the courses, individuals can achieve the following certificates:

• ISCA-SUSS Certificate in Business Analytics (3 courses)
• ISCA-SUSS Specialist Certificate in Business Analytics (7 or 8 courses)

If individuals complete either an ISCA-SUSS Certificate or Specialist Certificate in Business Analytics, they can apply for admission into SUSS’s Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics (BSBA) Programme (Part Time).

Please note admission into the degree programme is competitive and applicants will be subjected to admission interviews and be assessed together with other applicants. If individuals are offered a place in the BSBA programme, they may apply for credit recognition for SUSS courses that they have taken.

Please note that credit recognition will be granted on a case by case basis.

In order to ensure continuity of learning and teaching services, here are the operational plans put in place by SUSS should there be prolonged school closure where there are no face-to-face sessions on campus:

• All face-to-face sessions will be replaced by live virtual classes conducted via Zoom. Integrated within the Canvas learning management system, Zoom is a web-conferencing platform that comes with an easy-to-use interface allowing instructors to conduct real-time, online classes outside of the campus, usually from their own home. More information will be provided if this operation kicks in.

• On-campus examinations will be replaced by e-Examinations to be taken remotely from home. More information will be provided by Examination Administration department and schools if this mode of examination is implemented.

• Temperature Taking / Visual Screening

All visitors (including students and teaching associates) must report and have their temperatures taken at any one of the temperature taking stations. Only those without COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat or other respiratory symptoms, will be issued a sticker, to be displayed prominently at all times while on campus. Those who display COVID-19 symptoms such as cough, sore throat or other respiratory symptoms will be asked to leave campus immediately.

• Location-Based Temperature Recording

All visitors are required to submit temperature readings at their respective meeting/class locations on campus via a location-specific QR code or URL to facilitate contact tracing.

Before entering the room for meetings/class, all visitors are to ensure that:

o   They have completed travel declaration & taken temperature at the temperature screening stations

o   Using the listed QR codes prominently outside each seminar/meeting room, they can also manually access the listed URL to submit:  Name, Mobile number, the most recent temperature readings taken

For visitors who are at SUSS campus for more than 5 hours, they are required to re-take their temperature at any of the designated temperature screening stations.

• Travel Declarations by Visitors

To facilitate any need for contact tracing, all visitors are required to also submit a travel declaration at the temperature screening station areas. They can also fill in the form prior to their visit.

• Disinfection of Facilities

SUSS has increased the frequency of cleaning with disinfectant in high traffic areas, including the Office of Admissions and Office of Student and Alumni Relations counters, by up to 4 times daily.
