As part of SSG’s on-going review of funding schemes, there will be a revision in funding subsidies for courses commencing from 1st Jan 2022 onwards.
These are the changes:
- Company-Sponsored SME Enhanced (Singapore Citizens or PRs) - Funding revised from 90% to 70% subsidies.
- Company-Sponsored Non-SME (Singapore Citizens or PRs) - Funding revised from 50% subsidies capped at $15/hr, to 50% subsidies with no cap.
- Singapore Citizens (40 years old and above) - Funding revised from 90% to 70% subsidies.
- Singapore Citizens (21-39 years old) and PRs - Funding revised from 50% subsidies capped at $15/hr, to 50% subsidies with no cap.
Company-Sponsored Applicants
Funding for employers who sponsor their employees (Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents) for training.
a. Eligibility Criteria
- Company must be registered or incorporated in Singapore and;
- Applicant is taking the course for the first time.
- Applicant must be employed, and is either Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident (PR) of Singapore and;
- Applicant must achieve at least 75% attendance, and pass all examinations /assessments and;
- Applicant must be fully sponsored by the Company for all costs associated with the training and;
- Payment has to be made via corporate means (i.e. corporate credit card, corporate PayNow).

c. SDF Funding
For Non-Certifiable Courses approved by SSG, there is Skills Development Fund (SDF) funding of $2 per training hour. (For Company-sponsored applicants only)
For courses with course run start date on or after 1 Nov 2020, Enterprises/employers are NOT required to log into TPGateway/SkillsConnect to submit training grant. The employee’s enrolment, attendance, and assessment records will be submitted by ISCA onto TPGateway portal.

Additional Eligibility Criteria for Enhanced Funding
SME Enhanced Training Support
- Company must be registered or incorporated in Singapore with at least 30% local shareholding being held by Singapore Citizens (SCs) or Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs) AND hiring not more than 200 employees (at group level) or with an annual sales turnover (at group level) of not more than S$100 million). Workfare Skills Support (WSS) Scheme
From 1 July 2020, the Workfare Skills Support (WSS) Scheme will replace the Workfare Training Support (WTS) Scheme. WSS encourages low wage workers to undertake training that leads to more impactful employment outcomes. Please click HERE for more information.
WSQ Course Refund Policy
Before the course is confirmed by ISCA, the participant can withdraw from the WSQ course. However, the refund will be prorated according to the following criteria:

More than 60 days from the WSQ course commencement date | 100% |
30 to 60 days from the WSQ course commencement date | 50% |
Within 30 days from the WSQ course commencement date | 0% |
Approval will be granted on a case-by-case basis. All refund will be in the form of credit voucher where the participant can use to pay for another course organised by ISCA.
Once the course and seat(s) are confirmed by the Institute, there will be STRICTLY no refund for non-attendance. All participants are liable for the Full Programme Fees in the event of non-attendance.
WSQ E-Statement of Attainment (SOA)
In addition to the ISCA e-Certificate of Attendance (e-COA), participants who successfully completed the course & passed the assessment(s) will be awarded a WSQ SOA (electronic copy). To download WSQ e-Certs, trainees are to log in to the MySkillsFuture portal via SingPass > go to Skills Passport > Certificates.
