Internship Placement Programmes for Employers

In order to help university and polytechnic students become more employable when they graduate, several tertiary institutions have incorporated internships as part of their school curriculum. This will allow students to gain valuable on-the-job experiences, build their social networks, and develop both their technical and communication skills that will come in handy during their careers. For employers who have temporary hiring needs to tide you through your organisation's peak seasons, please consider the Internship Programme(s) listed below. You are one step closer to nurturing our young talents and giving them an opportunity to learn and grow!

What is it?

The Master of Technology in Intelligent Systems (MTech IS) Internship Programme is a full-time internship where Artificial Intelligence (AI) master students will be attached to your company and work regular hours. These students are specialised in AI sub-domains such as Deep Learning/Natural Language Processing/Computer Vision/Robotics and Data Analytics using machine learning.

Depending on the needs of your company, some of the projects which the students could undertake during their internship include:

  • Using AI to audit 100% of a company’s documents instead of performing sample check
  • Using AI to enhance risk identification and assessment as AI benefits from access to all possible data and sophisticated predicting models
  • Using AI to support monthly close procedures
  • Automating data input, using AI to read, analyse and process documentation
  • Using AI to discover hidden patterns, trends and insights to make quick and data-based decisions

The internship attachment period can range from a period of 3 months to 5 months.

  1. Minimum of 14 weeks starting from 7 February to 13 May 2022 including 1 week (in late April 2022) off duty for exam preparation; or
